How to start with an AI psychologist in Safe Space
You do not need a perfect speech. You need a door that opens at 01:00. Safe Space in the browser (no install) or Google Play on Android. iOS is not live yet.
1. Open the app where you already are
If you are at a computer or do not want another download, go to app.safespaceapp.cc. On a phone, install from Google Play — package com.safespace.safe_space_app.
2. Read the wellness consent
Before AI chat, Safe Space asks you to confirm this is self-help, not a clinic. That is the honest deal: a 24/7 companion for naming feelings, not a diagnosis and not a crisis line.
3. Write one true sentence
Examples that work: “I cannot sleep and my chest is tight.” “I keep replaying a message.” “I feel flat and I do not know why.” The chat (Gemini, with a Claude fallback) answers that. Open it here: start a session.
4. Optional: 30-second mood check-in
If you have the energy, log mood, sleep, and one trigger. One week of honest dots beats one perfect essay. The journal is for patterns, not performance.
5. If the body is louder than words
Stop typing. Use a 2-minute longer-exhale practice or 5-4-3-2-1 in the calm tools, then come back to the sentence. Chat first is optional — the body often needs the first minute.
What you get that a blank notes app does not
- A reply when no one is awake
- A CBT-style thought record when the story is unfair
- PHQ-9 / GAD-7 screening (not a diagnosis) you can repeat later
- No ad tracking / no ATT
Do the five steps once today — even if the sentence is messy. Open the web app or get Android on Google Play.
Safe Space is a self-help wellness tool, not a medical device, and does not replace professional care. If you are struggling or in crisis, contact a clinician or a crisis hotline.
